In 1983, he founded his own music record label, Skreem Records Corporation. Here, he signed several groups, including 3rd Wish, a boy band famous across Europe, for which his son- Justin Martin – sang lead vocals. Also signed to the Skreem Records label were artists such as Willie Will and rapper Pat Moe.  Later, when Jeffrey’s son decided to pursue his solo career, Justin Martin also signed to the label as an independent artist. Skreem Records was a successful label, helping these artists manage their careers and market their music to ensure it reached their fans.

More than two decades after starting the label, in 2005, Jeffrey D Martin saw an opportunity for a new business in the music industry that would help support his clients at Skreem Records. He founded Skreem Studios, a recording studio to support musical artists, including his current clients. He worked with 3rd Wish to record most of their albums here. While Jeff enjoyed his time in the music production industry, he eventually decided it was time to move on to something new and expand his skills. He sold the records corporation in 2016 and sold the studio in 2019.

Around the same time Jeffrey D. Martin started working in the music industry, he operated in the movie production industry for more than 14 years. In 1989, he founded Bulls on the Run Productions, Inc. and built the business up from there. In 1990, Jeffrey D Martin operated as the Executive Producer of two different feature films through the production company: Legend of Grizzly Adams and Blood, Sweat, and Bullets. The latter featured acting talents such as Heidi Paine, Phil Stallone, and Micheal Speller. Satisfied with his success with these two films, in 2003, Jeffrey sold the production company to focus more on his music production endeavors. 

Jeffrey D Martin has been operating internationally between the United States and Asia, particularly China, for the past 30 years as a businessman. Through his business, Martin Consultants, Inc., Jeff Martin has helped Chinese companies by offering business consulting work on how to do business and operate successfully in the United States. Navigating cultural differences can be challenging when dealing with international business relations, so Jeffrey D Martin has proven himself an invaluable resource in helping Asian businesses successfully network with businesses in the United States. He has advised more than one hundred companies in China to provide them with valuable business insights and services, including how to distribute products and how to raise capital, both concepts Jeffrey has extensive experience with his own business endeavors.
